CHILD LABOUR Child labor refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives them of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful. This problem affects millions of children worldwide, mostly in developing countries. Children are often forced into labor due to poverty, lack of access to education, and cultural norms that see work as a rite of passage. The consequences of child labor are severe and long-lasting. Children who work long hours in hazardous conditions are at risk of physical injury and health problems. They also miss out on their education and have limited opportunities for personal and professional growth in the future.
